Meet The Founder


Tanya Ferencak is a community organizer, trainer and facilitator who has worked on development issues both in the U.S. and abroad. Tanya’s background includes many examples of her dedication to healing individuals as well as communities around the world. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver in Geography and Anthropology, Tanya joined the Peace Corps as an Environmental Outreach Volunteer. Upon returning to the United States, Tanya received her Master’s degree from the University of Colorado in Urban Planning. She is passionate about alternative models of leadership and proactive stewardship of natural and created communities. She has facilitated grassroots environmental and community revitalization projects both internationally and in the U.S.

Tanya recognizes the vital role that activists and direct service providers play as agents of social change. She values the importance of contemplation, meditation and reflection as tools for sustainable social transformation.
